about parahuman site content

at the bottom of every page is a blurb that says "all text and music at parahuman is free to share under the Creative Commons License, some rights reserved." what's this, you say?

the short version

this means that you are free to copy, modify, edit, extract, transmogrify, redistribute and otherwise do whatever you wish with any text and music you find here. you just can't sell it.

the slightly longer version

the text offered on this site is copyrighted and licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 2.0 License. in addition, all music is free to share under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 2.0 Music Sharing License. this license means you can do pretty much what you like with the text and music as long as you follow two simple rules:

  1. any derivative work must include attribution to the original source ~ that's me, Christefano ~ and include a link back to http://parahuman.org/, and;
  2. no matter how much time or effort you've put into that derivative work, you can't sell it or in any way receive remuneration for its distribution or performance.

keep in mind that this does not include any displayed images (those are mine, unless noted otherwise). the source code is also off-limits (though you can look it over, of course), since some of the code used here belongs to ELATED.com and is covered under their license.

about the Creative Commons

the Creative Commons is a new system built within current copyright law that allows you to share your creations with others and use music, movies, images and text online that's been marked with a Creative Commons license:

Creative Commons LicenseCreative Commons License

if you'd like more information, the Creative Commons website's About section contains more about the history, concepts and people behind the organization.

to see the Creative Commons in action, you can look for Creative Commons-licensed material in the Find section, or check out one of the sections devoted to Audio, Video, Images, Text and Education.

answers to Frequently Asked Questions are also available.
